3rd Grade - Lost in Rousseau's jungle

We studied the life and work of Henri Rousseau and create close up landscapes that focused on overlapping, value, texture and a full composition.

Art Assessments:

There are many ways to assess how the students are learning the information presented within the lessons.  The most common way this is achieved is to base their progress on a rubric from teacher observations during the project and at the end along with a short quiz.  For this project I decided to assess if they learned the concepts of the lesson with a one day lesson that asked they to flex their creative muscles.  Their task was to create a cereal box cover where the design must show overlapping and a full composition.
